Sunlit Eyes

I blow in the breeze

Pretty as can be

My colours shine, bright as day

But you barely look at me.

I'm like a foest when I thrive

Yet deep within, I'm soft like soil

Won't you look, my one and only

Without your sunlit eyes, I start to shrivel

In the shade, I feel alone

Where my thoughts start to show

Please put me back in the sun

That is where I'll grow
